Except for the regular programs, we organise special crash courses. The crash courses differ from the regular program, because in addition to the lessons in class, there is a special practice-part included and in summer these courses also comprehend excursions.

For a maximum result, it is not always good just to increase the number of lessons. It is our experience that after 4 to 6 hours of tuition the concentration and absorp level decrease. Of course, every student is different. The crash course's objective is to find a balance between active and passive learning of the language. In this program, so called "practice lessons" are included. During a practice lesson a course participant goes for a walk with a Russian student. The goal is to practice as much as possible the Russian language, that is speaking and listening.

The prices below are package-deals. That means, that accommodation (in our shared apartment), visa support, airport transfers (at arrival and departure), enrollment fee and administration costs are included in the course price. All mentioned prices are including taxes, VAT is not applicable on our services. The number of hours mentioned refer to the amount of academic hours. One academic hour corresponds to 45 minutes.

INDIVIDUAL CRASH COURSE
The individual approach provides all opportunities to learn the language in the desired speed and at the individual starting level. Due to the intensiveness of this course, a lot of progress can be booked (especially if the student is disciplined to use the evening hours for one or two hours of homework!). The practice part of the course will let you pick up the sounds of the language. The individual crash course is given three times per year, of which 2 times during the main Russian holidays. The May course provides the possibility to celibrate the "Victory Day" (9th of May), including the military and veterans parades! The Christmas Course gives the opportunity to celibrate Christmas twice (on 25th of December and the Orthodox Christmas at January 7th). New Year, also in this period, is the most important holiday of the year. The Christmas Course of 2008 takes 3 weeks, the May, Autumn and Christmas Course of 2009 are 2 weeks.
Included: 14 nights in our accommodation (Christmas Course 2008: 21 nights), 20 hour per week private lessons, in total 40 hours (Christmas Course 2008: 60 hours), 5 practice afternoons = 20 hours, (Christmas Course 2008: 8 practice afternoons = 32 hours) invitation for the visa, registration/administration-costs, transfers from/to the airport or railway station.

SUMMER GROUP CRASH COURSE - BEGINNER
This group crash course, which we offer since 2004, is our most popular course. The course has the same set up as program A (two weeks, group lessons), but practice lessons and excursions are added. This course is ideal to get to know the language and acquire a basic level, besides you get the maximum out of your stay in Petersburg: the best weather conditions of the year and part of the course you are practicing and sightseeing at the same time!

SUMMER INDIVIDUAL CRASH COURSE
For an ideal combination of a high intensity course, but at the same time with many built in elements to see a lot of the city and practice the Russian languae in daily life. In June, July and August, it is summer in St. Petersburg: there are many things to visit: palaces in the surroundings of Petersburg, the beach. Perhaps you'll make friends who invite you to their Datcha! The light of the white nights gives everybody extra energy. The language course student certainly benefits from that!

Extending your program

It is possible to extend your program:
- extra private lessons (16 euro/hour)
- extra pratice lessons (29 euro/afternoon, 1 afternoon = 4 x 45 minutes)
- extra week in our accommodation without lessons (175 euro/week, not possible in June, July, August)
- extra week in our accommodation with 16 private lessons (395 euro)
- extra week in our accommodation with 25 private lessons (495 euro)
- extra week in our accommodation with 34 private lessons (595 euro)

Alternative lodging

The package deal includes the stay in our accommodation, in a shared room, the next extra charges apply when chosing for a different option for lodging:
- stay in a single room in our apartment: 14 euro/night (low season), 19 euro/night (high season), click here for more information about our accommodation
- stay in a single room in our apartment, having access to individual sanitary: 19 euro/night (low season), 39 euro/night (high season), click here for more information about our accommodation
- stay in a host family, single room, half board (breakfast, dinner): 29 euro/night
- stay in a single apartment in the city center, several options, from 89 euro/night (low season) to 109 euro/night (high season).

Payment procedure

There are two ways to pay. First option is to pay per bank. The total sum need to be on our account at the moment of arrival. The second option is to pay in cash upon arrival.

Attention (including and excluding)

Visa support: we arrange the invitation letter for the visa. Without this invitation you can not apply for a Russian visa. The visa itself you will need to apply at the Russian consulate or embassy in your country. The visa processing fee at the consulate (in most European countries about 35 euro) is not included in our course fee. After arrival in Russia, your visa needs to be registered by law at the migration service. This registration is included in the course price.

Travel expenses: not included in the course price. Many European airlines have direct connections on St. Petersburg. In general you have the option to fly with the airline of your country and the Petersburg airline "Rossiya Airlines". If you live in Scandinvia or Eastern Europe you might consider a bus or train trip. Be aware that if you need to pass Belarus, you will need an extra transit visa for this country.
